- Provides comprehensive environmental compliance, due diligence and permitting advice for clients engaged in real property transactions, including, manufacturing and industrial facilities, semiconductor and supply chain manufacturing, data centers, mining facilities, traditional and renewable energy power projects and Brownfield acquisitions/development, in Arizona, Nevada, California and other jurisdictions.
- Assists clients with regulatory permitting processes under both state and federal laws, including air quality permits, Clean Water Act Section 404 permits and hazardous waste regulation.
- Representing a Fortune 50 semiconductor manufacturer with the largest market share in the global semiconductor manufacturing industry with the permitting and development of its facility in Arizona, including air quality, hazardous waste and wastewater, and renewable energy procurement.
- Representing multiple chemical product suppliers in the semiconductor industry with due diligence, siting, permitting and development of their facilities in the Phoenix Metropolitan area.
- Represents mining clients with permitting and environmental compliance in the Southwest region.
- Assisted Fortune 100 technology manufacturer with air quality and wastewater permitting for $2 billion manufacturing facility in Arizona.
- Advised Fortune 50 manufacturer on all environmental permitting for its industrial complex, including air quality, wastewater, hazardous waste, biomass and anaerobic bioreactor.
- Assisting Fortune 50 technology company with all environmental permitting and power siting for high-tech facilities in Southwest region.
- Assisting Fortune 15 technology company with all environmental permitting, including air quality, hazardous waste and wastewater, and renewable energy procurement for its industrial facilities in Nevada and Arizona.
- Represented food manufacturing client in federal litigation involving the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA) and the Farm Act.
- Assisting manufacturing client with the investigation and remediation of abandoned uranium mines on the Navajo Nation.
- Defends clients on environmental regulatory matters, often with multiple responsible parties, under CERCLA, WQARF, RCRA, natural resource damages, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, EPCRA, NPDES, legacy uranium mining and aquifer protection laws.
- Advises clients on endangered species and jurisdictional Waters of the U.S. issues for large property developments on private and federal lands.
- Represents clients at administrative hearings for appeals from agency decisions and in appeals of administrative decisions to Superior Court.
- Assists clients on regulatory compliance issues, including assistance with internal environmental audits and participation in the Voluntary Remediation Program.
- Advised a Native American Indian Tribe with drafting the nation’s first comprehensive Tribal Implementation Plan under the Clean Air Act, as well as drafted the Tribe’s wastewater, pesticide, waste management and water quality regulatory programs.
- Advised the fastest growing county in the nation on air quality issues, including a complete rewrite of the County’s air quality regulations.
